FUSO eCanter Makes First Appearance In Amsterdam
FUSO’s first zero emission light-duty truck, the eCanter, made its Dutch debut earlier this week. A total of twelve trucks were released to some of the country’s most influential companies.
Amsterdam, Netherlands: Last week, twelve FUSO eCanter, all-electric light-duty trucks manufactured by Mitsubishi FUSO, a part of Daimler Trucks Asia, were handed over to a select group of customers in Amsterdam. Though these trucks can already be found cruising the streets of Germany, Great Britain, Japan and the US; this marks the first time that the eCanter will be officially brought to The Netherlands.
Committed To A Sustainable Future
The Dutch customers who received the FUSO eCanter include: distribution giant PostNL, the largest Dutch supermarket chain in The Netherlands Albert Heijn, Cornelissen Groep, Technische Unie, and Bidfood, the biggest online food marketplace. Specifically engineered for urban areas, these vehicles will play an important role in the environmentally-friendly business plans of these companies. The eCanter, with its zero-emission drive, will not only relieve the streets of Amsterdam from excess pollution and noise, but will also be an economically attractive option for many other local companies in the area going forward. With a range of 100 km, eCanter trucks are perfect for inner-city distribution.
